They send a kit that instructs you to scrape the inside of your cheek, sealing and sending the sample in a return envelope. Advanced lab technology ensures that even the smallest amount of DNA can be extracted from the sample, hence enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the results. iGENEA uses the latest sequencing technology to conduct an autosomal test and, if chosen, Y-DNA and mtDNA tests. I was impressed by the robustness of their testing protocols, which validate each ancestral trace multiple times to maintain high accuracy rates.
