In Dänemark und Österreich gibt es keine Müggenburgs. Die angeblich berühmten Müggenburgs kenne ich nicht, obwohl ich seit 20 Jahren recherchiere. Auch bei "Google" findet man sie nicht. Wer den Namen Müggenburg trägt, dessen Vorfahren kommen aus einem der ehemaligen ca. 8 Orte in Deutschland mit dem Namen "Müggenburg".Müggen oder Miggen "... sind eine Spitze Landes, die sich in eine Niederung erstreckt" (aus Stavenhagens "Chronik von Anklam", 1774, Seite 286.) Alle mir bekannten Orte Müggenburg liegen in einer feuchten, sumpfigen Gegend. Was war naheliegender, als auf einer erhöhten Stelle ein Gebäude zu errichten. - www.mueggenburg-verein.de- Januar 2024.
