i am sorry to tell you that's most of your explanations about the meaning of this name are wrong ; the N in KirschNer excludes any connexion with the fruit Kirsch (cherry) there is also no connexion with Kirche(church) the original meaning come actually from the German Kùrschner meaning furrier /fur worker, the U becoming I in the German pronunciation.
